India Driving License Renewal New Process Through sarathi.parivahan.gov.in/ Portal

There is a change in the driving license renewal process in all the states in India. It is became the common portal for all the states. Earlier there were individual portal for different states.

Since July 2020 it is became the unified method for all states. In this post I am trying to explain the method for the driving license renewal. 

Step 1

Login to sarathi.parivahan.gov.in/ portal and select your state from the drop down in the below of the page.

Step 2. 
Click on the Driving Licence -> Apply Online -> Services on Driving License(Renewal/Duplicate/Aedl/Others)

Step 3. 
In the next screen click on Continue button.

Step 4. 
Enter your driving license number and date of birth. Then click on Get DL details button. Verify the details

Step 5. 

Fill up the below details which is mentioned as mandatory *. 

 1. Confirmed that the above Driving Licence details are mine => Yes 

 2. State and RTO Then click on proceed button

Step 6. 

Enter your mobile number and rest of the details. Which are mandatory marked as * Click on proceed button and Verify the details.

Step 7. 

Check the boxes on the left hand side. Enter the captcha then submit.

Step 8.

Download all the documents save it in your local system. 

Application form, Form 1, Form 1A, Acknowledgement Take print out of above PDF files and get the medical and Eye checkup from the doctor. 

Step 9.

Scan the documents after putting all the signature etc. Then scanned documents needs to upload to the portal

Step 10.

Also you have pay the fees for the licence renewal.

You have to enter the application number and date of birth to retrieve the application. 

Step 11.

Upload documents on by one to the port using below screen

Step 12. 

Pay the fee using below screen. 

Step 13. 

Submit all these below documents with original license to the respective RTO office, 

1. Application form

2. Form 1

3. Form 1A

4. Acknowledgement

5. Fee paid receipt 

6. Original license

7. Self addressed envelop with necessary stamps(Rs. 42/-)
